Hello all and Happy Monday! It is an EXTRA Happy Happy Monday for us as we celebrate Danny’s 30th birthday today! We of course have been celebrating all month long - totally my style - but today is the official day!!! Tomorrow we will tell ya how we toasted this milestone!

As far as this weekend - we did have some fun happenings. Starting with Saturday errands. Now I know Saturday errands sound like a pain in the butt- and I am with you ….for only some of them! But this weekend they were all really fun, accompanied by a beautiful fall breeze, Starbucks, and Phil Collins blaring on the radio. This is also my quiet time to sorta do just me and be on my own, which I think is a must on a weekend for a recharge.

As I have talked about and plan to get into more this week, I am starting some new career adventures and what is required for career adventures??? STAPLES. As if I need to tell you all how good it does my soul to get organized, buy new supplies, and dream of how I will create and fill some notebooks. This trip was especially exciting as I finally purchased my disc bound system hole punch. #nerdalert!!!! But this disc bound technology allows me to build my own notebooks and planners and then rebuild them over and over again! You can move pages and sections and print off Pinterest. If you are as crazy as I am regarding getting organized I highly recommend this system!

My other errands - well failed birthday shoes and gifts for the hubby…sigh. This is not a new occurrence, sadly I just can’t seem to get what he wants in the style department. Luckily for the big 3-0 I got one more trick up my sleeve for tonight…..stay tuned for details!

Saturday night was a fun evening as we attended the Bishop O’Connell Booster Bash. Danny is one of the school hockey coaches and both being alumni we always welcome a good DJO event. And this one - an Oktoberfest at the home of the athletic director in Old Vienna - surrounded by the gorgeous colors of fall. It was a lot of fun and we are so appreciative of the kind way they thanked the coaches allowed us all to get to know the parents.

By the time Sunday rolled around and Danny thought about how he wanted to spend his birthday with his parents - we ended up at their house for football and dinner. As I have shared before - Dan loves his childhood home and a home cooked meal there even more….so we kept it simple and spent the day there yesterday. My mother-in-law and I even headed out for shoe shopping…next to new office supplies that is a must for a new job!

Hope you had a great weekend too- enjoying the fall, family, and relaxing!

PS My mother in law tried to help Quinlan enjoy it a little extra...he was thrilled.
