Today is our Fourth Wedding Anniversary! We were married on July 17, 2010 at Saint Theresa Parish in Ashburn, Virigina followed by a reception at Chantilly National Country Club. It was an incredibly special, beautiful and just plain fun day.....one that we will cherish forever.

After getting engaged on December 24, 2009 - we chose July to get married first and foremost because summertime has always been our time! It is the season when we started dating, fell in love, and have enjoyed many of our most favorite adventures! But a HUGE BONUS - we did not have to plan and talk wedding for more than 6 months! We were ready to start our life as husband and wife - so that next summer it was!

As summers in the Northern Virigina area are - it was hot and humid....but somehow we did not mind! I am not sure I have ever smiled so much in my life - and not just for pictures - we were on cloud 9! Surrounded by family, family, more family and friends we shared our love story and committed our lives to each other.

This blog will be chronicling this life together, so it only seemd too fitting to have our launch day be - July 17. Four years later we have found ourselves in a different place - not one we would have planned, but also in some ways better than we would have imagined. We have overcome a lot, but the largest lesson is still about committing ourselves to each other. This is something we do daily, some days minute to minute, and it is what has lead us to this moment in celebrating. At times I have looked at our up and down as painful or disappointing.....we love each other so much - shouldn't that just make it all WORK? But as Danny has reminded me our struggles and growth don't have to be negative - they can be our badge of honor.....our true sign of love, because we have chosen to fight for each other, our marriage - our future.

So today we celebrate another year that has come and pass and we stand together ready for what the future holds, while also celebrating how life has brought us to this point as man and wife. We honor or little ordinary life as not ordinary at all - in fact it is extradinary and we want to remember this journey and capture that story here! Have a Little Faith in Me was our wedding song (music has been a big part of our story) - and that led us to this special title….our faith is what sustains us and our faith in each other is what makes us a family.
